Koffee With Karan Season 6: Hardik's Misogynistic Attitude Costs Him His Brand Endorsements Worth Rs 2 Crore
Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul's episode on Koffee With Karan Joharmade all the wrong headlines and we wonder if cricketers repent their decision of giving a nod to this talk show. The all-rounder insists he got carried away with the format of this show, but the reason is not valid enough to compensate for his misogynistic words and attitude. The star cricketer was probably trying too hard to look cool but his attempts went south when he was heavily criticised for his conduct. Soon the episode received backlash from Twitterati and BCCI was forced to take some action against its players (KL Rahul included).
After Hotstar decided to pull down this controversial episode and it's no longer available on their streaming platform, BCCI banned the accused from the ongoing India andAustralia series. And while we assumed if things were slightly cooling and working in Hardik Pandaya and Rahul's favour, here we read a report that may shake them monetarily.
As per a report in DNA, a men's personal grooming brand has suspended its contract with Hardik Pandya after the controversial episode. Its loss has cost the all-rounder approximately Rs 2 crores.
Going further the reports states how his brand value has taken a very huge hit. Most of the other companies who were queuing to sign him up are disappearing in quick succession. Hardik is currently the face of six other brands and they may take a similar decision sooner than later.
Coming to KL Rahul, well, his condition is nothing different. The same source was quoted saying, "Rahul had signed a three-year contract with a sports brand and the company is already considering a replacement for him." Hardik and Rahul's episode will go in the history of the Koffee With Karan 6 show as the most controversial one ever. The setbacks are only coming in for the cricketers and seems like there's no relief coming for them anytime soon.
